Donate 150 for 150

28 October 2019

Champion the legacy of Dr. Montessori and honor her legacy.

As part of our yearlong celebration of Maria Montessori’s 150th birthday, the America Montessori Society (AMS) is raising funds to help restore her initial observation classroom in Perugia, Italy; construct a statue in her honour in the town centre; and fuel the enduring advocacy work of AMS and our mission: Empowering humanity to build a better world through Montessori.

AMS is looking for 150 individuals to become an esteemed group of Montessori supporters and contribute $150 in honour of Maria Montessori’s contributions to humankind. We’ve partnered with local governments and groups in Italy, and a portion of each donation will go toward restoring the original observation room Maria Montessori designed for your use in her teacher education work, located in Perugia, Italy. The city of Perugia will build a statue of Maria Montessori to coincide with her 150th birthday in 2020, and a portion of your donation will also fund this project.

Your contribution will help us honour, restore, build, and advance Dr. Montessori’s legacy—and identify you as a champion of that legacy!
