Last autumn, in preparation of the celebrations of Maria Montessori’s 150th birthday some of her great-grandchildren planted the special Montessori tulip named on her grave in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Now on the 6th May, the day Maria Montessori died, they are in full bloom.

“I ask the dear children who are capable of anything to join me in building peace in Man and in the World.”
