As we look forward to celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Maria Montessori, we take a moment to honour her strength, her compassion, her foresight and her brilliance. Montessori is most well known for her pioneering insights as a scientist and researcher, however, let’s also remember her today for her humanitarian efforts in the defense and honouring of the child as critical in achieving peace. Her legacy continues through all of those who are fortunate enough to be touched by this work. We thank you, Maria Montessori, for the hope you have given us through your words and belief in a better tomorrow. Happy birthday Maria Montessori from AMI/USA!
